Honeycomb Crochet Stitch Tutorial
Last week, I was working on a cowl using this beautiful honeycomb crochet stitch. When I shared pictures on Facebook and Instagram, I had some requests for the pattern. It’s a crazy week around these parts (we have a big conference this week that we’re preparing for) so I didn’t have time to get the entire project finished, pattern written/tested, and modeled photos taken.
But, I was able to put together a quick video tutorial of the stitch. This is my first stitch tutorial, but I think there are definitely going to be more in my future. I learned a lot from creating this one, and now know some things that I would do differently, but this tutorial will show you how to make the honeycomb crochet stitch, and I’m thankful that you all don’t expect me to be a professional videographer!
In case you’re the type who likes to have written instructions, here they are:

To work this pattern, you need to chain a multiple of 5 stitches + 2. For this swatch, I chained 17.
If you want to create something larger using this pattern, you’ll want to chain a multiple of 5 and then add 2. 47, 27, 92. The possibilities are endless!
If you want

Gorgeous stitch Lauren, love the transparency! I will try it with grey yarn over black felt background for a clutch! Thank you so much for sharing!

Is the repeat from Row 2? I couldn’t make that work but it does if you start the repeat at Row 3.
Thank you
Lauren says
Yep! Fixed that.

Thank you for the written pattern. Sometimes the PDF just doesn’t work. This is a beautiful stitch. A shawl would be just right.
