This week’s crochet color palette is full of gorgeous greens and blues. I’m not saying that all these shades are identical. I’m just showing you how you can get a similar color palette using many different brands of yarn.

From top to bottom, the brands are as follows: Paintbox Yarns, Loops & Threads Impeccable, Yarn Bee Soft & Sleek, Vanna’s Choice, Hobby Lobby I Love This Yarn, and Caron Simply Soft.

Stripe Pattern Recommendations

Stripe Pattern 1: I’m a huge fan of vertical stripes. Often we think of crochet as always horizontal, but you can work any pattern vertical! Just make your chain the length you want your blanket and crochet as many rows as you need for width. This blanket is a fun example using vertical stripes.

Stripe Pattern 2: Color block blankets are beautiful. They’re also great because there are fewer ends to weave. If you’re not loving a shade next to another in your palette, try adding a small stripe of white or some other neutral between your shades.

Stripe Pattern 3: You can’t go wrong with a classic, simple stripe pattern. Choose any color as your main color to change the look of your finished project.
